Outside Sales Account Executive - Temp to Hire, (J/O #4958)
MEMBERSHIP SALES – JOB DESCRIPTION--Territory - Miller, Bowie & Cass counties
Representative will sell only those firms for which they have screened the prospect.
In order to be successful in this position you will be expected to read & familiarize yourself with the following documents:
Ø The Code of Conduct/Ethics for Membership Development
Ø The Uniform Minimum Accreditation Process
Ø Screening for Prospects for Membership.
Signed copies will become part of your personnel file. The following documents will be provided to you:
Ø Current Membership List
Ø Do Not Call List.
Under no conditions are any businesses to be contacted that are current Accredited Business Members of the ORGANIZATION and Businesses that are listed on the Do Not Call list. Once these lists have been verified, the sales person has the right to make contacts with prospects by telephone, in person or letter, as may be determined by the best means of approach. Sales materials will be furnished by the ORGANIZATION sales manager as designated by the ORGANIZATION President or other authorized ORGANIZATION personnel.
For New Accounts the following documents need to be completed:
Ø Screening Prospect document
Ø ORGANIZATION Accreditation Agreement (completed by business)
Ø Standard Business Questionnaire (completed by Sales Rep)
Payment to the ORGANIZATION must be received from the business. Any New Application remains in a pending status until the following processes are completed:
Ø An internal investigation on the business has been conducted by the ORGANIZATION staff
Ø Membership has been approved by the ORGANIZATION Board of Directors.
Compensation is structured on a commission basis as follows:
Ø 50% Commission will be paid on all new sales.
Ø 50% Commission Paid on accounts 90 days past due.
Ø 50% Commission paid on accounts that are canceled and sales rep is able to reinstate.
Ø 25% Commission paid on accounts 60 days past due.
Ø 10% commission will be paid to the sales representative at time of renewal for accounts sold by that representative. The following stipulation applies:
o The sales representative is still employed full time by the ORGANIZATION of Central Louisiana and the Ark-La-Tex.
Ø Weekly Draw will be allowed within the First 90 Days Unless Commissions Exceed the Draw.
o $200.00 will be paid weekly as a draw if commissions are less than $200.00.
o If weekly commissions exceed $200.00, a draw will not be paid.
o If draw amounts are paid to the sales rep within the first 90 days, the total amount drawn will be deducted from future commissions until the amount drawn is re-paid.
A Travel Allowance will be paid as follows:
Ø $100.00 travel allowance will be paid weekly.
Commissions and/or Draw and Travel Allowance will be paid each Monday for the periods preceding presuming the following preconditions are met:
Ø Sales Reports have been furnished to the ORGANIZATION
Ø Signed applications and payment of first year’s dues
Ø Application and payment must be turned into the office before or by Monday to be included in commission
Commissions are paid under the following protocols:
Ø No commissions will be paid after 30 days following the resignation and or termination of any sales person on applications left pending at time of termination.
Ø Should commission have been paid as an advance on sales which sales are later not accepted by the Board of Directors, or which applicant’s checks do not clear the bank, commissions will be deducted from the following period of incident.
o In the case of returned checks, it will be the responsibility of the sales person to obtain cash or sufficient check and return the insufficient funds check (or check that did not clear the bank).
If sales person contacts ABC Company and that company states they are connected with or are the same as XYZ Company, the lead for XYZ Company will be cleared through the ORGANIZATION office before contact is made. Sales representatives do not become involved in other ORGANIZATION casework. Requests from the business community for assistance requiring ORGANIZATION services should be referred to the staff.
Any breech of the Code of Conduct/Ethics for membership Development is grounds for termination. Termination from ORGANIZATION employment can be made by either party and should be in writing providing a two (2) week notice. Failure to do so forfeits further commission payments. All sales materials are to be returned to the ORGANIZATION.
